Ewan McVicar is doing things differently. He doesn’t follow existing blueprints, nor does he add a filter to what you see or hear. Rooted in the spirit of the rave generation but driven by a forward-thinking approach to club culture, McVicar has built his rise on instinct, energy and an uncompromising sense of self.

Raised in Ayr, Scotland, his journey began far from the traditional dance-music pipeline. After years of cutting his teeth across hip-hop and commercial club circuits that never quite fit, McVicar created his own lane. That ethos materialised in TEN, the club night that ignited a movement in his hometown and introduced a new generation to underground dance music on their own terms.

His breakout came via releases on Trick, where Tell Me Something Good became a global phenomenon, catapulting him from underground favourite to one of the most recognisable names in modern dance music—without sacrificing credibility. Since then, his output has remained firmly rooted in the underground, with releases on Optimo Music, Unknown To The Unknown, Shall Not Fade, Nervous Records and Technicolour, home to the much-loved Heather Park - a track that nods to his roots while pushing his sound forward.
