Artist Spotlight: Shaka Loves You

For any new fans, can you tell us a bit more about yourself?

We're Jamie and Marty aka Shaka Loves You – a DJ and percussion duo originally from the Highlands but we've both been in living in Glasgow for years now. We play lots of different genres but you can mainly catch us spinning disco and house.

We can't wait to see you play at Clyde Chorus this month – what can fans expect from the show?

Expect lots of upbeat, soulful, groovy disco and house accompanied with our funky live percussion. We might even try and throw in a few Glasgow surprises!

What’s the best gig you’ve played to date? 

Hmm, that's a tough one... Maybe the first time we played Glastonbury, that was pretty special, or playing Shambala festival in Canada was a massive bucket list festival for us!

Do you have a dream venue you’ve always wanted to play? 

We'd love to play Pikes in Ibiza one day. The history of that place is incredible and it's one of the last 'OG' Ibiza venues. Also Drumsheds would be pretty cool!

How is the rest of 2025 looking for you? Any exciting plans you can tell us about?

2025 is shaping up pretty good. Festival season is starting soon, our new SLY beer 'Test Press' is launching in the Summer, we've got lots of new music on the way and a new record label venture which we're really excited about so watch this space!
