Guitars, voices, cellos, and drums, local to Glasgow, loyal to lo-fi indie, and inspired by dark folk
Bight are a 4 piece band based in Glasgow Scotland comprising two guitars, cello, drums and bass. With a folk sound they mainly play atmospheric and sad indie music. Inspired by artists like Angel Olsen and Warpaint, the themes of their songs can vary from environmental issues or philosophical lyrics to themes of heartbreak. Their first EP 'Shallower Than a Sound' was released in Sept 2018 and was written and performed by Beth Robertson on guitar, cello and vocals. Beth started collaborating with Nicholas Mayer of Moonmann Productions in 2017 and recording in his home studio. Nick played keyboard, drums and some additional guitar and also mixed two of the tracks: 'Graveyard' and 'On the River Beneath Me.' Beth then collaborated with Robbie Tranter and Purple Drum Productions who mixed 'Connections'. Bight are now gigging with Beth, Arianna Clark, Esmé Pringle and Nicholas Mayer and together they are working on new music to record as a band
