The Dumfries Country artist was shortlisted for the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Songwriter award in 2019.
Establishing herself as an audacious artist within the Scottish music scene; proving that her young age has never been a barrier when it comes to her artistry. Kate has demonstrated musical maturity through her original songs which combine creative chords progressions; poignant melodies and thought-provoking lyrics that will echo in your ears for days to come. Kate opened Resonate Live 2018. Shortly after, Resonate released this statement: "The young songstress commanded the room with her intuitive songwriting and beautiful voice. Such a powerful voice emerged from a tiny frame and we were stunned. All of us here at the Resonate team are certainly looking forward to seeing Kate develop into what is sure to be one of Scotland’s true musical treasures." Resonate 2018 Kate takes her musical influences from artists such as The Chicks, Chris Stapleton, Stevie Nicks and Lady A, which can be heard through her debut EP Where I'm Going - released March 2019, Kate celebrated a sold out EP launch. Kate is set to release new music soon :-)
