Genre-defying Glasgow band Martha May & The Mondays return with their most powerful single yet: “BLACK DOG”, a visceral post-punk anthem that confronts the emotional aftermath of toxic love and the lingering spectre of depression.  Fronted by multi-instrumentalist and prolific songwriter Martha May McKay, the band has carved out a name for their bold, eclectic sound—one that fuses feral punk energy with cinematic layers of violin, saxophone, distorted bass, synth, and gnarly vocals. Their early releases have already caught the attention of BBC Radio Scotland, and their electrifying live shows have grazed stages in some of Glasgow’s finest venues, OVO Hydro, King Tut’s, and Saint Luke’s.  Originally emerging from Martha’s solo folk roots, the project rapidly evolved into a full-bodied band through a series of jam sessions and rehearsals. With each new member came a new sonic dimension—shifting the music from introspective to explosive.
