During the initial period of pandemic imposed lockdown in 2020, razz felt compelled to write & record from his bedroom, inspired by the likes of still woozy & Bruno Major. Through unique vocal melodies paired with jazz-inspired chords, Razz Mattreezy writes songs telling stories of past romances, draped with smooth & soulful music.
Razz Mattreezy’s four singles, released throughout 2021, received continued support from BBC introducing in Scotland on the “genre mixing magic” and “pop out” shows, as well as editorial playlist features from local Scottish curators, and Somos grande in Spain.
2022 has been shaping up to be the most exciting year yet for Razz, with the debut EP“PENTAGON CABIN” released on November 30th, followed by a very busy debut headline show in the heart of Glasgow on Feb 2023. The two EP singles “CAUGHT UP IN YOU” and “WORST GUY” featuring SAY Award “Young Artist of the Year” nominee Psweatpants, have received extensive radio coverage since their release on BBC introducing, Radio 1, Rapal, and a multitude of shows across Amazing Radio UK and USA
