With country music being the fastest-growing genre in the UK, it comes as little surprise that someone of Robyn Red’s talent is breaking into the mainstream market and quickly becoming one of the most talked about Brit country acts.
In 2019, Robyn took a trip to L.A. to compete in “The World Championships of Performing Arts” and she returned home with a gold and silver medal. Robyn Red’s hard work has paid off over the last year, reaching the British CMA finals for “Entertainer of The Year” and being awarded “BCMA Horizon Artist of 2024”. She also won Clews Country Music award for “New Artist” and was a finalist of the UK Country Music Award for “Artist of the Year” and “Female Singer of the Year” in 2023.
Over the years, Robyn has steadily built-up industry success. In 2022 and 2023 she played the DF concerts stage at C2C in the Hydro Glasgow, Buckle and Boots Country Festival, The British Country Music Festival, Foodies Festival, and Bute Fest to mention but a few. It also gave her the opportunity to support Ward Thomas and Tyler Booth. The skilled singer/songwriter has also performed at the iconic King Tut’s Wah-Wah Hut, and Liverpool’s Cavern Club, The Half Moon in London and Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.
Amidst all that touring, Robyn Red also released her dynamic debut single ‘Like A Bullet’ in June 2022, a track that shot her to the top of the Amazon Country Chart, with it also peaking at #1 on the iTunes Country Chart, an impressive feat for a new artist just breaking through. She released her crowd pleasing single "When the Sun Sets" in May 2023 and that did even better with it peaking at #1 on the iTunes chart and Amazon Country charts. It was BBC Radio Scotland’s single of the week W/C 22/05/23. In October 2023, she released “Luke Jackson” which reached the top #4 in the iTunes charts.
In May 2023, Robyn Red put on a debut headline show in at the Glasgow Garage Attic with her band which SOLD OUT in a matter of weeks. Due to popular demand, Robyn and her band blessed Glasgow again in October where she headlined Audio and had another SOLD OUT show! These sold-out shows almost immediately further cemented her growing status as “the next big thing”.
2024 is shaping up to be another great year for Robyn, with her heading to Bradford to do a full band co-headline show with Emilia Quinn. She also has a SOLD OUT intimate acoustic show in Glasgow in May. She will be playing Country on the Clyde in March and has a SOLD OUT show in Millport. She has been given the opportunity to support Nashville based duo, Royal South, on the Glasgow leg of their tour. There are many more amazing gigs on the horizon that have still to be announced. As her star continues to rise, we are seeing a rapid increase in her growing fan base.
