The Rants are a four piece indie/rock band hailing from the West of Scotland. The band consists of Fionn Lyons (Lead Vocal/ Guitar), Shay McDermott (Drums/Backing Vocals), Fraser Carstairs (Bass) and Logan Murdoch (Backing vocals/Guitar). The four carry a sound that is a perfect blend of older generation and new age music.
After being together only a year, with a small break, the band have made their way through the Glasgow scene filling venues as they go. Inspired by indie artists of the 90s, Radiohead and newer bands such as Wunderhorse, the band have a set of original songs that will drag you up and down a musical rollercoaster. Leaving the listener with bruises from mosh pits and tears in their eyes.
The band have dreams of making it big, with some success on their self-titled debut album the band are taking their dreams and shoving them in the faces of anybody who will listen. The Rants are looking to take their music all around the world.
