The Rions & Pacific Avenue bring their co-headline tour to Glasgow's Stereo on 30th August 2024.
Pacific Avenue’s music has made evident waves across Australia in recent years. With multiple releases added to full rotation on triple j and Triple M, and accumulating over 10 million streams on Spotify, Pacific Avenue have become more than just a familiar name on the airwaves and festival line ups – they’ve developed a steadily growing fan base that have followed the band from their humble beginnings as local South Coast entertainers to flourishing Australian luminaries.
The Rions enter their next phase with new single ‘Sweet Cocoon’. Swinging on a coarse, near grunge guitar riff, ‘Sweet Cocoon’ symbolises the shield we employ in the moments that try us, the defences we utilise to push through. The Rions will take the single to the road in 2024 with their largest shows yet.
2023 saw the biggest year to date for the 4-schoolmates from Avalon (Noah Blockley, Harley Wilson, Asher McLean & Tom Partington). Through their debut EP Minivan, The Rions leaped from ‘ones to watch’ to in-demand status. Landing #38 (Minivan), #40 (Scary Movies) and #71 (Take What You Want) in their third year of Hottest 100 entries, Minivan sought enduring praise.
In addition to huge love from Dayglow (US), Tors (UK), Daniel Ricciardo and Sam Worthington, the band scored Rolling Stone Award nominations, back-to-back sell out AUS tours, and their international debut conquering festivals and headline shows across Aotearoa / New Zealand earlier this year.
