A lot has happened since we last spoke to you in April last year – what has been a highlight since then?
It’s been such a whirlwind since last April, and there have been so many moments to treasure. Playing more gigs and connecting with people in different places has been huge for me, it’s what I love most. Beyond that, I’ve been finding happiness in the journey, focusing less on numbers or streams and more on the connections and experiences I get to have through music. Building a community, meeting people at gigs, and seeing how music brings us all together has been the biggest highlight for me.
You won Young Live Artist of the Year at the Scottish Live Music Awards in December – how did that feel?
Winning Scottish Young Live Artist of the Year was honestly such an incredible moment. It’s was very surreal. I’m so focused on playing and growing that I don’t really stop to think about recognition. It’s amazing to know that the passion and energy we put into live shows resonated with people. It’s not just about me, though—it’s also a reflection of the community and support I’ve had from everyone who’s been along for the ride. It means the world to me.
How is 2025 looking for you? Any exciting plans you can tell us about?
2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year! I’ve got some incredible gigs and tours lined up, and I’m working on new music which I’m really excited to share when the time is right. I’m also looking forward to continuing to consolidate on what we’ve achieved so far and exploring more ways to expand my following. There are a few surprises in the works too, so stay tuned - there’s a lot to look forward to!
We can’t wait for your upcoming gig at Saint Luke’s in Glasgow on 14th February! It’s your biggest headline show to date – what are you most looking forward to about it?
I’m so excited, the band and I are like kids at Christmas - it feels like such a milestone for myself and the team! What I’m most looking forward to is being in a room full of people who’ve supported me and my music. There’s something so special about the energy in a live setting, especially when it’s a space as iconic as Saint Luke’s. I’ve put so much thought into making the show special, and I can’t wait to share that experience with everyone. It’s going to be a night to remember!
