Himalayas Live Dates
The Cardiff four-piece announce re-scheduled dates for September. The rock band, whose heavy guitar lines, dual vocals and huge anthemic hooks hold and captivate audiences old and new have amassed an incredible 29 million streams on Spotify.
Having played at countless festivals including Reading & Leeds and SXSW, sold out tours and received an impressive amount of radio and international interest, Himalayas embarked on 2020 with big plans. And then 2020 happened and nobody was expecting that. Undeterred the band locked down and carried on writing and rehearsing when possible and moved their live plans to 2021.
They released 'We Love To Hate' in the summer of 2020 which received enthusiastic responses from both press and radio, garnering plays from Radio 1, 6Music, Radio X, Kerrang! as well as support courtesy of KCRW and Sirius in the US.
The band, who consist of Joe Williams (lead vocals/guitars), Mike Griffiths (guitars/vocals) and Louis Heaps (bass) met at school and bonded over their love of bands like The Strokes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Muse, Royal Blood, Nick Cave and Manic Street Preachers. Drummer James Goldbourn moved to Cardiff from Dubai and found like-minded souls in the trio to complete the line up.
As yet unsigned, Himalayas used a PPL Momentum Fund to return to the studio with producer, Steffan Pringle to work on all their lockdown songs. These new tracks are lined up for release later this year, alongside a headline tour in September as well as festival appearances and a special end of year show at London’s Grace in December.
